Chat error/bug

I am not sure of this is an error or a mute, but this message has been popping up all day. I can still message people and do everything, except type in regular chat. I have tried entering in the given command, but nothing happens. I have attached a screen shot of my problem

Hmm, I have had this problem before. Have you tried using /chat? I can not remember if that works or not.
